KCL
For the 2024/25 entry into the undergraduate Dentistry program at King's College London (KCL), the key entry requirements are as follows:
A-Level Requirements: Applicants are expected to have achieved A*AA at A-Level, including Chemistry and Biology. These subjects are mandatory, and the third A-Level can be in any other subject, though General Studies and Critical Thinking are not accepted.
GCSE Requirements: A minimum of grade 6 (B) in English Language and Mathematics is required at GCSE level.
UCAT: All applicants must sit the UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test). The UCAT score is an important component of the selection process, but there is no set minimum score published by KCL. The test score is used alongside other criteria to decide on interviews.
Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a Multiple Mini Interview (MMI). Performance at the MMI is crucial for final admission decisions.
Work Experience: Applicants are encouraged to have undertaken work experience in a relevant healthcare setting. This experience is assessed as part of the personal statement and interview process, demonstrating commitment to the field of dentistry.
These requirements reflect the competitive nature of the Dentistry program at KCL.
